We are getting ready to PUSH YOUR LIMITS with Rotary Ride The Range as we Celebrate Our Tenth Year on SUNDAY 29.03.2020!

 

For 2020 we will have SIX Fully Supported Rides and in this FIRST, we will give you South East Queensland’s Toughest and Longest Charity Ride with an EPIC DOUBLE RANGE CLIMB – THE 200

#RTR2020 will have a ride option to suit everyone, from the HardCORE to the SOCIAL rider.

We plan to CELEBRATE BIG with our #RTR2020 FINISH FESTIVAL – with food, a local brew or two, free entertainment and more. All part of your Entry!


In 2020 we also Celebrate TEN YEARS of raising money and awareness of many local, national and international causes.

For our Tenth Year, we give you South East Queensland’s Toughest and Longest Charity Ride Stage – THE 200.

A Guaranteed DOUBLE RANGE CLIMB, this is a must for only experienced HardCORE riders.

The Rotary Ride The Range200

Strictly for the HardCORE, this is a FULLY Supported Ride will start at Picnic Point, where you’ll first run full tilt down the Valley.

Then strap in for your first climb as you snake up the lacets of the relentless T-bar Range, pushing up 4k’s @ 10 percent.

Grind up the feared. yet revered Col du Blanchview – 4.5k’s averaging 11% with 18% pinches for good measure. Then tame the Mighty Trump, aka The WALL, with 5k’s to go.

With THE 200, we’ve layered in Two Brand new vertical challenges: undulating Back Flagstone ,aka Paris Roubaix segment & The Main Toowoomba Range.

The 200 is for HardCORE  Seasoned and Experienced Riders ONLY.

Average pace expected of lead group is 30k+ an hour.

Now one of our most popular Rotary Ride The Range challenges – The 100 Mile delivers over 164k’s and over 1825 Metres of Climbing to Push Your Limits!

This is a Fully Supported Ride, something we’ve done well since Day 1, now ten years ago.

With over 1825 metres of climbing, and over 164k’s; The 100 Mile is set to challenge you.

First you weave down the range, make your way to Upper Tenthill, over to Mulgowie, back into Laidley and then on to Gatton.

Just as you think you are done and dusted, you then need to climb home via Blanchview Rd back to Picnic Point.

SAG Wagon and Mechanical Support will be available with rest stops at Forrest Hill, Tent Hill and Helidon.

Expected Ride completion time window is 12pm to 2pm.

Average pace expected of lead group is up to 30 plus k’s an hour.

THE 85 is an almighty challenge. Your FULLY Supported ride starts at Picnic Point,  followed by some of the best views as you head down into the Valley. Then get ready for the final push home up the range.

THE 79 AND NIFTY 50 are our NO CLIMB Rides.

If you’d like your Rotary Ride The Range a little easier, then either THE 79 or NIFTY 50 are for you. Start at Picnic Point, ease down the range, meander along the back roads of the Lockyer Valley and take in the scenery.

Finish at Helidon State School and then hop on a Stonestreets Coach and we will bring you and your bike back up to the top!

You ride down the Range and we pick you up – simple!

 THE 79 and NIFTY 50

You start at Picnic Point, ease down the range, meander along the back roads of the Lockyer Valley and take in the scenery.

After 79 or 58k’s you will finish at Helidon State School and then hop on a Stonestreets Coach and we will bring you and your bike back up to the top!

Yep. Most of the Rides are showing not only a course elevation or full flyby, you can also DOWNLOAD a Zip File with the TCX and GPX Course File for most rides.

Is The Ride Supported?

Yes. Rotary Ride The Range is a fully supported ride event. We will have Volunteer Marshalls on the course for each challenge. Plus up to 5 Support Vehicles always on course to help if you have a mechanical or need assistance.  We’ve been doing Ride The Range for 10 Years, so we know how it rolls!

Refreshment Zones:

There are several refreshment stops along the way – some will be asking for a donation for a gold coin donation for special treats. Please carry some coins with you

Bananas (those yellow things), a selection of Cakes, Muffins and Slices PLUS  Water will be provided FREE to all Riders.

Other optional food and drinks will be available at the rest stops – please note these items will be available for purchase and items may vary from stop to stop.

How Long do I have to Ride?

You will have a  FIVE hour window to complete our longest ride THE73. Chances are you will be back in time to enjoy the free community fair which starts at 11am.

What type of bike can I Ride?

A road bike is best but if if has two wheels, great brakes and good comfy seat you are looking good. A MTB is great option as well. If you have an E-Bike, not a problem. This is a charity ride with some sweet views. Go for it!

Can I change my Ride Event Category Choice?

YES! Click on your REGISTRATION email sent at the time of payment. Via RegisterNow, you can easily change your RIDE event Category. If you change from say THE85 which is $80.00, to the THE112 or THE200,  you will be prompted to pay the difference. Likewise if you go down, a refund of the difference would be processed. Note processing fees may apply.

Can I REGISTER ON THE DAY on Sunday March 29?

YES! But it will cost you and EXTRA $30.00 on top of the Registration Fee

 

When Do I Get My Jersey

The team at Blackchrome, long term partners, supporters and jersey suppliers for Rotary Ride The Range  If you placed your ORDER before February 7, it will be available for PICK-UP  ahead of the ride. We will let you know of the PICK-UP Location in the coming weeks.

Orders from February 8 onwards will be placed once the ride is completed. Each rider will then be notified when the jerseys will be mailed.

 

How do I access the Start line?

At HELLER STREET PARK right near Picnic Point in Toowoomba! You won’t miss us on the day. We will be there nice early on Sunday March 29.

Where do I Park?

We will have lots of parking on-site available at HELLER STREET PARK, right near Picnic Point. Plus the streets around the event village are also accessible.
