These Terms and Conditions of Entry (“Entry Terms”) are designed to enable Rotary Ride the Range on 9 October 2021 (The Event”) to run effectively. By registering to participate in the Ride, you (the “Participant”) accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Entry. You can view the full Terms and Conditions of Entry including the Cancellation & Refund Policy HERE.

  • This timing schedule is subject to change
  • Once first START is sent off other start times may be quicker depending on how everyone moves.

Failure by any event rider to meet to not be past the designated time will be brought back to the start line by our SAG Wagons.

  • You should consume one gram of carbohydrate per kilogram of body weight per hour.
  • While we will have regular rest stops, EVERY RIDER should Pack some gels, bananas, muesli bars and the like for your ride.

To Keep Yourself HYDRATED:

  • EVERY RIDER should carry TWO 750 ml water biddons.

To Keep Yourself SUN SAFE:

  • Remember to SLIPE, SLOP, SLAP!
  • Consider wearing protective Sleeves on your arms

COVID-19 Plan | Rotary Ride the Range | SUNDAY 9.10.2022

  1. It is determined that Rotary Run the Range is governed by an approved COVID Safe Industry, Professional Sporting Code Plan, which serves as the primary Plan specifying requirements for this event;
  2. It is determined that the ratio of four square metres per person can be maintained across the event site at all times (this is a minimum physical distancing requirement for all events);
  3. At present (as numbers are under 1000) it is determined the event can proceed without approval from Queensland Health whilst following the COVID Safe Event Checklist.

Events with between 500 and 10,000 people on site at any given time require approval of the Event Organiser’s COVID Safe Event Plan by a Queensland Public Health Unit.

Events of over 10,000 people on site at any given time require approval of the Event Organiser’s COVID Safe Event Plan by the Queensland Chief Health Officer.

WHO should NOT ATTEND?

To ensure the health and safety of all participants:-

No participants are to attend if they have any illness or symptoms of COVID-19. Participants must not attend if in the last 14 days before the event they have been unwell or had close contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 (cough, sore throat, fever or shortness of breath), even if mild.

A number of groups have been identified by Federal and State Departments of Health as having a higher risk of contracting the COVID-19, or of serious illness if they were to contract it. These include but are not limited to:

  •  Anyone identified as being in a high risk group.
  •  Anyone with concurrent medical conditions including; respiratory or cardiac disease, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and immunosuppression due to disease or medication.

If the event management team of Rotary Ride The Range are aware or become aware of a participant falls into these groups, they should be contacted immediately regarding their attendance and it recommended that they not attend.

BEFORE ARRIVAL | SUNDAY 9.10.2022

These include:
  • Access to a virtual briefing to all participants outlining special conditions or practices that will take place during the Run. There will also be a distribution of this virtual content via EMAIL.
  • A written copy of the guidelines can also  be distributed also.
  • Rotary Ride the Range does not exceed the current State Government regulations on number of people at a gathering.
  • All participants are aware that the Toowoomba Rotary Club will be the appointed COVID-19 Liaison Officer.
  • There will be varying start times to reduce the number of people onsite at any one time. This will include consideration of different arrival times for participants.
  • All contact information for all participants will be made available to the State Health Department in the event of a positive COVID-19 case in one of the participants at a later date.
  • All participants should have download and activated the CHECK IN QUEENSLAND App HERE
  • All participants will BE REQUIRED to LOG IN on morning with the CHECK IN QUEENSLAND App and again if attending the Finish Festival.

At the EVENT | SUNDAY 9.10.2022

  • LOG IN with the CHECK IN QUEENSLAND App, QR codes will be at entry points.
  • Wash your hands upon entering the venue.
  • Bring your own pen to sign on if required
  • Use hand sanitiser upon entering the marshalling area.
  • Do not share food or drink with other participants outside of your household.
  • Comply with the correct cough/sneeze etiquette.
  • Do not share any equipment between participants (shoes, running gear, sign-on pens, clothing, covers, radios for volunteers etc.).
  • Adhere to the physical distancing requirements at all times.

When you RETURN FROM YOUR RIDE | SUNDAY 9.10.2022

  • Immediately following the end of the ride, sanitise/wash hands.
  • LOG IN with the CHECK IN QUEENSLAND App, QR codes will be at entry points.
  • If undertaking any no non-essential activities (e.g. massage or meetings), please adhere to rules at each station.
  • If purchasing food from a food vendor please adhere to social distancing guidelines.
