The  Burstows Funerals #RTR2022 Team Challenge is an important element of  Rotary Ride the Range.

Promoting teamwork, a healthy workforce, corporate health and maintaining a work/life balance. This challenge aims to foster positive relationships among teammates and corporate opponents.

The  Burstows Funerals #RTR2022 Team Challenge will compete for the Rotary RTR Perpetual  Trophy.

This trophy will reside for the year at the winning team’s offices. The winning team will also win a personalised plaque to hang forever in the walls of your office or club house!

The winning team is invited back the following year to defend their title and retain all the bragging rights that go along with it.

The aim of the Burstows Funerals #RTR2022 Team Challenge is to create strong competition and industry and club rivalry amongst the cyclists taking on a REAL Challenge.

The Challenge is based on numbers. The more riders you have the more challenging you are.

Team uniform or Corporate image is considered a plus – with teams all in the same kit – an extra 100 points will be added. We prefer teams to be easily identifiable.

Team points are calculated on completed kilometers by each rider on the day of Rotary ride the Range.

No extra points will be issued for kilometers ridden to the start line.

As each rider finishes they need to check into the Team Challenge tent and register their COMPLETED kilometers. Honesty is the best policy.

All Team members must start together and present together for a photo opportunity.

Challenge teams are made up of 6 or more participants, each participating in one of the six routes–

58km, 79km, 85km, 112km, 164km or the 200km

Only one team member must check in at the registration to pick up their team kit. The team kit is the numbers and timing chips for each rider. They are to be attached to each bike.

There is three levels of team

1 – 6 riders – small team

7 – 20 – medium team

20 riders plus – large team

Teams compete for a chance to win the “Rotary Ride the Range” Perpetual Trophy and bragging rights for the year! The perpetual trophy will reside in the winning company or organization’s office for a year.

The winning company or organisation will be provided two complimentary team entries into the following year’s ride for an opportunity to defend their title
